NS accused ESL of double standards regarding Team Spirit and Tundra Esports

Yaroslav ‘NS’ Kuznetsov has taken to criticize ESL because out of all teams, only
NAVI Junior actually suffered penalties for exploiting bugs, while various other prestigious teams such as
Team Spirit,
Tundra Esports and many others, managed to escape with little more than headaches of warnings or fines.
He posted this information on his Telegram channel:
“To summarize, NAVI Junior lost their spot and other teams who used the bug along with them were given a warning. Even now, they are in the waiting list wondering what went wrong at ESL.”
“Nobody wants to take on all the consequences themselves. But if there are some teams who get punished while other teams get warnings, that is a very biased way of handling the situation. The results from the qualifiers may have to be investigated and altered. It may not be as straightforward as it seems on the outside”
From NS’s point of view the situation creates immense ambiguity, however, he is able to make sense of everything after the investigation. The streamer added how large numbers of teams carried out the bug abuse but there was hardly any punishment suffered by teams other than
NAVI Junior.
“Where one draws the dividing line between a disqualification and a warning is completely unclear; that is just a decision that someone made - and that’s it. If it were perhaps another person who made the last decision (like a NAVI fan from that meme for example) the last chapter of the story could have been rather different.
NAVI however does not agree with that way of looking at things, but who cares? They obviously will not get their slot back. The rest have gotten away with this rather lightly. The bug has been resolved. End of the matter”
Still, NS noted that ESL will most likely stick to their decision and no one shall get back
NAVI Junior place, but in his opinion, the bug abuse punishment is set and decided at a very subjective level.
