Vladimir “No[o]ne” Minenko said that he does not like the format of BLAST Slam tournaments on Dota 2. At the same time, the player noted that the first events of the series brought variety, but the third time he considered this approach unnecessary.
The corresponding statement the player made on Twitch.
“I do not like the BLAST system. It's weird. Swiss is definitely better, GSL is better too. Almost everything is better than BLAST. The first two tournaments it was some variety. The third time, I was shocked. I don't understand why they would do it three times in a row. It will probably be different next year.”
Unlike standard formats, BLAST Slam Dota 2 tournaments, although they are held in two stages, teams play only one map each in the group stage, and their results affect playoff placement, but do not result in the elimination of some squads. The participants who have shown the best results start the playoffs from the semifinals, and the weakest teams of the group stage start the final stage from the first round.
Recall that earlier Vladimir “No[o]ne” Minenko named the three best teammates to play in matchmaking Dota 2.
