Vladimir “No[o]ne” Minenko believes that, even though there are no serious competitors for
Aurora in the region, the organizers should have allocated more slots for Eastern Europe in the qualifiers for The International 2025 due to the large number of contending teams.
The player spoke about this on Twitch.
"It's so strange that there is only one slot for TI14 in Eastern Europe. It's nonsense. In fact, there are no teams other than
Aurora that could even claim a top 6 spot at The International, let's be honest. All the teams there are top 16. Only if they do well in the tournament. It's as if the region's achievements this year should have earned it two slots anyway. There are a lot of teams in the region."
Vladimir “No[o]ne” Minenko also noted that Eastern European teams have been performing better in recent tournaments, regularly making it into the top 4. This result far exceeds the statistics of teams from the South Asian region, which the organizers have allocated two slots for the qualifiers.
"Why are Asia given two slots when teams from the region have not even made it into the top 10 in any of the recent tournaments? If I'm not mistaken. Teams from Eastern Europe make it into the top 4 throughout the season... Conditionally, in 12 tournaments in a row, at least two teams from the EU are always in the top 4. And they are given one slot. Strange."
Recall that earlier, Vladimir “No[o]ne” Minenko named the best heroes for MMR farming in the 7.39b patch meta for Dota 2.
