Alexander “Nix” Levin believes that
Team Spirit's defeat at FISSURE Universe: Episode 3 will benefit the team, as it will help them make the right conclusions before The International 2024.
The streamer shared his respective opinion in a broadcast on his personal Twitch channel.
“I think it's good that Spirit lost. They'll have extra motivation before Int to practice even harder and realize that.... well, they're not playing bad overall, but something with the draft picks needs to be done.
Yeah, they fumbled somewhere with CK, Omninaite, Encha from Jaric, but all of that got bumped to them later and they couldn't fumble anymore than they could play. It's cool to lose before Int, they'll come back stronger on Int, and Int is much more important than this online tournament.
It's cool for Spirit, an extra opportunity to go into the tournament in better shape.”
Team Spirit at FISSURE Universe: Episode 3 lost in the grand finals to
Team Falcons by a score of 3 : 0. The loss in the grand finals was the squad's first at the tournament, as the team had won all of their previous matches in the top set of the playoffs and the previous group stage. Prior to the defeat in the decisive series,
Team Spirit had beaten
Team Falcons twice during the tournament.
Recall that earlier Alexander “Nix” Levin criticized the current meta in Dota 2, saying that there is less variation in the game.
