Alexander “Nix” Levin called the replacement of Anton “Dyrachyo” Shkredov in
Gaimin Gladiators the worst decision in the history of Dota 2.
The sensational statement was made in the new film POV: Esports.
"Those who understand Dota and know what Dyrachyo did in this team... I think it was super obvious that this was a bad replacement. I think this is the worst replacement in the history of Dota 2 that I've seen"
He noted that everyone understands that kicking Dyrachyo was a mistake, considering how much he did for the rest of the team. According to him, this was the unique style of the esports player — he wasn't the one who scored goals, but it was thanks to him that it became possible.
"If we draw an analogy with soccer: everyone tries to get the ball to the striker, and he scores goals. He's a star, and everyone loves him. Dyrachyo is not a star player, not Michael Jordan, who gets the last shot. The essence of his style is that he said, ‘Guys, don't put all the responsibility on me. I'll help you, and someone else will get the result’"
Nix believes that the pro player did his job perfectly and didn't hog the spotlight, which gave his teammates space. Therefore, the streamer doesn't understand what could have been behind the decision to kick a player who was so important to GG.
Let's recall that earlier Alexey “Solo” Berezin admitted why he actually left
Team Yandex.
