For the first time, Leon "Nine" Kirilin, who is currently in
Team Falcons playing for them, elaborated on why he quit the Dota 2 pro scene and said that it was due to stress that had piled up.
He made this disclosure during an interview at PGL Wallachia Season 1.
"The reason I took a break was stress. You always experience it at tournaments, but now I’ve become better at managing it. At PGL Wallachia Season 1, I’m testing myself, trying to understand how everything feels. And honestly, it feels easier now. I want to play again, but we’ll see how things go"
After The International 2023 Nine announced that he parted ways with Dota 2. He decided not to say anything about his departure from
Tundra Esports then but six months later he returned to cyber sports and began as a stand-in for
Team Falcons.
However, the pro player confessed that initially he wanted to decline the chance of playing for this team in PGL Wallachia Season 1
