The esports organization Nigma Galaxy has released an official statement regarding the situation with player Ammar «ATF» Al-Assaf and Quest Esports.
Nigma Galaxy:
At Nigma Galaxy, we always put our players first, even if it means creating a competitive disadvantage for us, as was the case during the Riyadh Masters Qualifiers.
We believed it was best for ATF to compete in Riyadh and the TI Qualifiers. We have tried our best to make this work, and we were trying to explore several options, just for Ammar to play. Unfortunately Quest decided not to continue the path of the loan and we can't influence the capability and desire of different organisations to provide desirable offers to players for them to commit longterm.
Ammar «ATF» Al-Assaf commented on the circumstances and reasons why he left Quest Esports and will not play at Riyadh Masters 2023. Quest Esports refused to continue the loan agreement with Nigma Galaxy. In return, they offered the ATF a contract with terms that the player did not agree to. As a result, ATF left the team, and Natus Vincere offlaner Abdimalik «Malik» Sailau will play instead of him at the Riyadh Masters.
The Riyadh Masters will take place in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia, from July 19th to 30th, with a prize pool of $15,000,000.
