Dmitry “Sh1ro” Sokolov believes that there are many issues and mistakes in
Team Spirit’s Counter-Strike 2 gameplay, despite the team’s victory at the 2026 Esports World Cup.
The player made this statement in a YouTube interview.
“I’m satisfied, but we have a lot of problems and mistakes. We’re fixing them, but it takes a lot of work—and that’s difficult when you’re traveling to so many tournaments. Tournament after tournament, we have to fix things; that takes time, and we also need to keep an eye on our individual form. It’s tough, but everything’s fine—I love CS and I love working on myself.
We’re not tired. We need to win a lot of tournaments—after all, Vitality won 8 or 9 tournaments that year. We need to aim for that. After the BLAST Open Fall, we’ll have a week off, which will give us a chance to recharge both mentally and physically. After that, we can start working on ourselves again.
In my opinion, we need to focus on what’s happening within the game. We shouldn’t say, “We have to win a Major and a Grand Slam.” That puts unnecessary pressure on us. We need to focus on the game and work on improving ourselves.”
According to Dmitry “Sh1ro” Sokolov, the team should improve its preparation with every tournament. The player believes the team shouldn’t stop at winning the Esports World Cup but should win most of the upcoming tournaments, taking the title of pro-scene favorites away from Vitality. Nevertheless, the player also believes that the team shouldn’t put unnecessary pressure on itself, leaving no room for error.
As a reminder, Danil “donk” Kryshkovets previously assessed his level of preparation in CS2 following
Team Spirit’s victory at the EWC.
