After the end of one of the biggest tournaments of the year — Riyadh Masters 2025 — the meta in Dota 2 began to change rapidly. With the release of patch 7.39c, players began to actively rethink their picks, and favorites with the highest win rate are already noticeable at each position.
Carry
Ursa dominates the first position with a win rate of 53.5%.
Juggernaut (52.4%) and
Shadow Fiend (52.1%) also remain high.
Midlaner
The main hero of the meta is
Leshrac with an impressive 55% of wins. The top three also included
Queen of Pain (51.6%) and
Necrophos (50.7%).
Offlaner
Vengeful Spirit (53.8%) confidently feels in third place, followed by
Dawnbreaker (52.9%) and
Beastmaster (52.7%).
Fourth position
The fourth position is dominated by
Shadow Shaman (52.8%),
Silencer (52.6%) and
Nature's Prophet (51.6%). Support with a focus on control and pushing is back in fashion.
Full support
Silencer (52.5%) and
Undying (52.1%) are confidently holding their own in the fifth position. But
Disruptor, despite 51.7%, is still one of the most stable heroes in difficult games.
The new meta is increasingly focused on tempo and versatile heroes with the ability to initiate and win fights already in the midgame. After Riyadh Masters 2025, players began to experiment more boldly with non-standard picks, and this is already yielding results.
It is expected that by the release of the Compendium 2025, the meta may shift again, especially if Valve decides to release a letter patch for Dota 2 with it.
