Valve may release the 2025 Compendium only on August 21 — a number of factors indirectly indicate this.
Despite Valve's silence about the in-game event for The International 2025, hints about the preparation of new content are increasingly appearing in the community. According to pro players and streamers, teams have already started recording bundles, which may indicate the imminent release of the compendium or its analogue in the Battle Pass format.
If we look at the schedule of previous years, the most likely release date is August 21. In 2023 and 2024, the compendium was released exactly 13 days before the start of the tournament. In 2025, The International will begin on September 4 — subtracting two weeks, we get the 21st. Moreover, this is Thursday — the traditional day of updates from Valve.
Although there has been no official announcement yet, the second half of August looks like the most realistic window for the launch of the event. Many fans are hoping for the return of the classic Battle Pass, but there is no confirmation yet that Valve is going to return to this practice.
Recall that earlier Yaroslav "NS" Kuznetsov claimed that he had learned of Valve's plans to release either a compendium or a Battle Pass.
