Misha spoke about the prospects for Dota 2

Mikhail “Misha” Agatov believes that Valve will change its attitude towards Dota 2 and start working on restoring the game's popularity. The esports player believes that the developers will be able to revive the game on their own amid rumors of the return of the Battle Pass.

The player made this statement on Twitch.

“I think Valve will change its attitude towards Dota. There are spoilers that the Battle Pass will return. So Valve can easily revive the game on its own. And I think Dota will be fine for another 10 years, despite the high entry threshold.”

The esports player believes that if the developers care about the game, the pro scene will be fine for at least another 10 years, despite the high barrier to entry in Dota 2.

Nevertheless, Mikhail “Misha” Agatov acknowledges that the fate of the game depends heavily on the developers' plans, since its peak popularity came at a time when Valve was actively involved in The International, maintaining the high status of the tournament.

"Dota won't die, but it all depends on Valve. You can see that Dota flourished when The International was the biggest and most important tournament. But they gave that up, so Dota began to fade."

Recall that earlier, Dota 2 fans saw a hidden hint about the return of the Battle Pass in a post by Robson “TeaGuvnor” Merritt.
