Miroslav “Mira” Kolpakov,
Aurora support, said that he had no chance to return to
Team Spirit roster after the break - a team of this level will not wait for a player, so he decided to try something new.
The two-time world champion shared this in an interview at DreamLeague Season 26:
“I started playing with them about four years ago. I just got tired of Dota, of constant communication with people. I needed a break because I felt like I was getting really worse compared to the previous six months. I knew that after that my place in Team Spirit would be taken, because a team of that level wouldn't wait. I decided that I needed something new”
Mira admitted that he was tired of the rhythm of life as a cyber athlete, so he couldn't do without a pause. He realized that he would not be able to return to
Team Spirit after this. According to him, he started playing worse due to emotional burnout, and that's what pushed him to go inactive. After a rest, he accepted the offer to play in the
Aurora lineup.
It should be noted that Dmitry “Korb3n” Belov and other members of
Team Spirit have repeatedly mentioned that they expect Mira to return - but it never happened.
Earlier, the
Team Spirit manager revealed who actually makes key decisions in the team.
