Miroslav "Mira" Kolpakov, a support player for
Team Spirit, received a community ban on his main account just before the match against
MOUZ in the 1win Series Dota 2 Spring tournament. He had to play using Dmitry "Korb3n" Belov's account.
The situation was explained by the team's manager during a Twitch stream.
"There is a thing in Steam called a community ban, not VAC. Mira got it in the morning, apparently there was a wave of bans because many people got banned. In a community ban, online games don't work. You log into them, but you don't connect to servers, and we have an official match... And Valve is at four in the morning, so they can't solve this problem quickly"
It's worth noting that a community ban is different from a VAC ban. While the latter can be a punishment for cheats and serious game violations, a community ban is issued for violating the SSA (Subscriber Agreement).

Korb3n explained that the situation needed to be resolved urgently, so they directly contacted the organizers to get official approval to play from his account instead of Mira's.
"We contacted people close to Valve, explained the situation that Mira couldn't play from his smurf. Because smurfs are prohibited. As a result, we agreed that he would play this game from my account, I provided them with my Steam ID. It was official. So, an official match from someone else's account"
The
Team Spirit manager emphasized that everything was completely official and did not violate tournament rules. According to Dota2ProTracker data, Mira has been unblocked, and he is playing matchmaking again from his main account.
It's worth mentioning that earlier,
Team Spirit captain Yaroslav "Miposhka" Naidyonov revealed the real reason for their loss to
MOUZ.
