Yaroslav “Miposhka” Naidenov stated that after ending his career in professional Dota 2, the former esports player was able to have a greater influence on his own life.
The former
Team Spirit captain shared his thoughts on Telegram.
"It's like soldiers returning from service, where they lived on external motivation. Every day was scheduled out for them. You didn’t have to think at all. You just had to find the strength to do what you were told.
In professional sports, it’s more or less the same. Especially at the highest level. I just lived knowing that tomorrow there would be a practice match, then a tournament, a couple of days off, then a new tournament, and so on. Everything is predetermined for you. Right now, I have no external motivation. I’m on my own.”
Acording to a statement by Yaroslav “Miposhka” Naidenov, the former esports player compares a career on the Dota 2 pro scene to military service, as the player is more subject to external motivation. Miposhka believes that as part of a team, he simply had to follow the schedule and instructions from management, but now he has the opportunity to fully manage his own time.
As a reminder, Yaroslav “Miposhka” Naidenov previously stated that he is considering a return to professional Dota 2 as a team coach.
