Miposhka admitted that he didn’t believe Team Spirit could win anything at all

Yaroslav “Miposhka” Naydenov, the captain of Team Spirit, said that before winning The International 2021, he did not believe that his team could win a significant tournament.

The two-time world champion revealed this during an interview at the Riyadh Masters 2025.

"Before our win at the Inter, I didn't really believe that we could win anything or be a very good team. After the win, I realized that we are very good"

Miposhka admitted that he didn't have much faith in the team's potential, but that all changed at The International 2021. It's worth noting that before this World Championship, the team couldn't boast much success on the Dota 2 pro scene. The only victories before that were taken at Dash-2 or even Dash-3 tournaments.

Nevertheless, Team Spirit made a splash by winning $18 million and the championship title, beating the best teams in the world. After that, Miposhka realized that they are a really good squad, admitted the cybersportsman.

Recall that earlier Anton “Dyrachyo” Shkredov said that Team Spirit are back and will win The International 2025.
