According to Stanislav, popularly known as “Malr1ne,” the midlaner for
Team Falcons, Valve has started trolling players with drastic meta changes in Dota 2 as seen in patch 7.36b.
The esports player gave this comment to Metaratings.
“I think such momentary buffs of Sand King are a Valve’s troll. It already happened and is happening again—they literally reanimate a hero for one week and then kill him again”
He noticed that previously in this very latest patch
Sand King had been buffed heavily and quickly found itself among the best heroes list. However, he was nerfed badly in patch 7.36b because his win rate fell down by 12%, making it one of the worst heroes ever played.
These impulsive meta shifts may possibly be a result of pro players’ complaints regarding hero picks during tournaments and matchmaking earlier identified as stagnant.
It should not be forgotten that Valve once critically nerfed the strongest dota 2 character during patch 7.36b.
