The strongest hero in the previous Dota 2 meta,
Sand King was nerfed by Valve in patch 7.36b. As it happened, his win rate fell by 11.5% in matchmaking.
According to DotaBuff data.
Before patch 7.36b was released, the stats show that
Sand King had been having a stellar display with his winning ratio being above 57%. However, immediately after its release he lost most of his games and his current records stand at 42.7%.

This downfall came as a result of alteration of some of his abilities; one part was buffed while others were seriously nerfed together with several other skills. Consequently, this has resulted to a situation where he has dropped sharply towards least successful heroes on the current patch.
There was also a rating drop for
Meepo and
Shadow Shaman which could only be estimated at around three percent each differing greatly from that on
Sand King.
It is important to mention here that recently Valve issued out an update called version 7.36b which completely turned around the entire meta of Dota2 game balancing its items as well as giving new life to old ones.
