Arman “Malady” Orazbayev said that he and Alimzhan “Watson” Islambekov can play as a well-coordinated team even without communicating.
The player spoke about this in an interview with CyberSports.
“We may not say anything, but we understand each other, what is happening in the game and what needs to be done, what each person's role is.”
According to Arman “Malady” Orazbayev, he had a positive relationship with Alimzhan “Watson” Islambekov while playing for
HellRaisers. However, after losing in the qualifiers for The International, the players decided to go their separate ways, but continued to communicate until Malady was invited to join
Gaimin Gladiators.
"They developed a long time ago. When we played for
HellRaisers, we thought we would continue playing together because I was happy with his play, and he was happy with mine. At that time, I was ranked 1st in Europe, and he was ranked 2nd. Everything was going well for us until he ruined the qualifiers for The International. We were flying home, and I said, 'Damn, Alim, let's play for other teams. I don't like how we play.'
In the end, I went to NAVI, and he went to Entity. And so our paths diverged. We still kept in touch, thinking maybe we'd continue playing together in a year or two. When we wanted to reunite, I was on one team and he was on another. And then, as fate would have it, six months ago I was invited to join Gladiators, where Watson was playing. And that's it, our paths crossed again."
Let us remind you that earlier Alimzhan “Watson” Islambekov and Arman “Malady” Orazbayev joined the updated
Team Yandex Dota 2 roster together.
