A major bug has broken Dota Plus: paid builds are now suggesting gold abuse

The widespread use of the gold-abuse bug with Hand of Midas has broken the paid builds in Dota Plus. Now, the Dota Assistant is recommending users to buy three Hand Of Midas to win in matchmaking.

They demonstrated that Dota Plus subscribers are literally being advised to purchase three of the bugged items. This happened after the surge of bug abuse in Dota 2 matchmaking. The build system of the subscription service analyzes matches and creates recommendations for subscribers based on them. Given the scale of the gold abuse problem, the assistant started suggesting the purchase of multiple Hand Of Midas.

It is still unknown when the bug will be fixed, as Valve has already released three urgent patches, but none of them have worked. In fact, the situation has only worsened, making the bug even easier to exploit.
