Vladimir "Maelstorm" Kuzminov compared Alan "Satanic" Gallyamov, the new carry of
Team Spirit, to the legendary Syed Sumail "SumaiL" Hassan, who dominated despite his young age.
The Dota 2 commentator wrote about this on his Telegram channel:
"All the teams look competitive. I'll highlight Satanic and his performance. Just like how SumaiL burst onto the scene at 16 and started crushing it, but SumaiL won his first tournament though..."
Maelstorm believes that Satanic is showing an incredible level of play despite his young age but pointed out the main difference with SumaiL – SumaiL won his first tournament. The commentator hinted that
Team Spirit is unlikely to win BetBoom Dacha Belgrade 2024.
It's possible he could be right, as while the new roster is showing solid performances, most of their matches in the tournament have ended in draws, which is not enough for a confident championship win. Nevertheless, the team managed to secure a spot in the playoffs and advance to the upper bracket.
Previously, Maelstorm discussed the critical issues facing
Gaimin Gladiators after the removal of Anton "Dyrachyo" Shkredov.
