Ilya “M0nesy” Osipov admitted that he hasn’t been performing at his best in Counter-Strike 2 lately, but promised fans he would turn things around.
The player made this statement on Twitch.
“Maybe I haven’t been performing perfectly in front of the audience lately, but I’ll try to improve and get back on my feet.”
Ilya “M0nesy” Osipov also noted that he is happy about the victory in the match against Vitality at the IEM Rio tournament. According to the esports player, he is pleased that
Team Falcons were able to advance directly to the playoff semifinals. Nevertheless, M0nesy also praised the high level of preparation among Vitality’s players, acknowledging that it was difficult for
Team Falcons to beat the best team on the pro scene.
“Vitality taught us that even if you’re in the lead, you can suddenly give up a bunch of rounds in a row. They had a good game plan against us. We couldn’t find our rhythm on the attack. We knew we’d lose 4-2 and similar rounds. I’d say that’s classic CS. But that’s normal, especially against the best team in the world.
I’m happy that, first of all, we made it to the playoffs, and second, straight to the semifinals. I prefer playing in the arena.”
As a reminder, earlier Ilya “m0NESY” Osipov reflected on how his career might have turned out if he hadn’t made it into professional Counter-Strike 2.
