M0nesy named the pro player who inspired him to pursue a career in CS2

Ilya “M0nesy” Osipov stated that he considered Alexander “S1mple” Kostylev his idol at the start of his professional Counter-Strike 2 career.
The player shared this on YouTube.
“When I walked into the NAVI office, I saw all their Dota and CS trophies. I took a lot of photos with them. It really inspired me because, at the time I started following NAVI, S1mple was my idol. I wanted to find out if I could ever become better than him.”
According to Ilya “M0nesy” Osipov, when he joined the NAVI academy, he was inspired by the esports organization’s trophies, as well as his ambition to surpass Alexander “S1mple” Kostylev.
Ilya “M0nesy” Osipov’s career began in 2019. Before transferring to
Team Falcons, the legendary esports player competed for NAVI Junior and G2.
As a reminder, Ilya “m0NESY” Osipov previously included a reference to Alexander “S1mple” Kostylev’s nickname in his CS2 sticker.
