LenaGol0vach explained why Counter-Strike is much more popular than Dota 2

Sergey “LenaGol0vach” Karnaukhov stated that Counter-Strike is currently far more popular than Dota 2 due to its lower barrier to entry.

“Why is CS now far ahead of Dota? Because anyone can get into CS, and after a week they'll be playing pretty well. Obviously, not at the level of a pro player, but they'll find it interesting: they'll get in, run around, kill someone, and enjoy it. If someone gets into Dota, they'll just be reading for two weeks.”

According to Sergey “LenaGol0vach” Karnauhov, any beginner can get pretty good at Counter-Strike 2 in a week, raising their skill level quite a bit. The streamer believes that it is much more difficult to start playing Dota 2, since it takes a week just to read the rules and meta.
