Sergey “LenaGol0vach” Karnaukhov said that he liked Dota 2 better before, because many modern mechanics violate the basic concept of the game, which is fighting and destroying opponents' thrones.
The streamer said this on Twitch.
"To be honest, I liked it better before Reborn. Everyone has their own idea of Dota 2. In the old Dota — this is my personal opinion — modern Dota has Aghanim's Shards, some talents, aspects, new personalities, and so on, but for me, the main point of Dota is not to go and collect some nonsense. It's not Path of Exile, it's not Diablo 3 or 4, it's Dota. Your main task is to collect items and go on a rampage, beat everyone, and destroy the throne. That's the main task — to collect items and defeat everyone in fights: fights, pressing buttons."
According to the streamer, the wide variety of unnecessary mechanics repels players who don't want to learn such a variety of game options. Sergey “LenaGol0vach” Karnaukhov believes that when Dota 2 didn't have such a wide variety of mechanics and items, you could quickly buy everything you needed and go fight your opponents. The streamer is sure that the game was much better back then.
"What did they do to Dota? I remember going to Silvername when he was playing PoE. There's this talent tree that opens up, and you just look at it and think, ‘Why play this?’. And then there are all kinds of items, all kinds of stones. You think, ‘Why do I need this?’. I need 5v5 team fights: you press buttons, you fight — that's what I need. That was exactly what the first DotA was like, when there were only a few items, no Aghanim's Shards, no talents — nothing. You bought two items and went to fight, that's it. That was the best Dota."
Let us remind you that earlier Anton “dyrachyo” Shkredov trolled Ilya ‘Yatoro’ Mulyarchuk, saying that he was afraid to play against Sergey “LenaGol0vach” Karnauhov.
