Kuro “KuroKy” Salehi Tahasomi considers himself the best player on the pro scene during the early days of Dota.
The player made this statement on YouTube.
“When talking about my career in Dota 2, I try to be modest, but when it comes to the early days of Dota, I’ll alow myself to be a bit less modest. I was the best player. People who were around back then know that I was unquestionably the best player. It didn’t matter what position I played. I dominated in any role. No one could beat me in the mid lane. If I played carry, I carried the games single-handedly.
It was during those times that I gained a massive following. That hapened during that period because the Chinese scene was starting to develop rapidly, and I was very popular there. At the same time, I was also very popular in Europe and throughout the Western Hemisphere. I simply outplayed all the legends of the first Dota. Back then, Loda was a star player, as were LighTofHeaveN and YamateH. I had a great time back then. And I was very focused on becoming the best. That was exactly my role in the first Dota.”
Acording to Kuro “KuroKy” Salehi Tahasomi, he isn’t ready to make such bold claims in professional Dota 2, but when the esports scene was taking shape around the first installment of the game, he was the best player in any role. He believes that was precisely when he was able to cement his popularity.
