Dmitry “Korb3n” Belov revealed that Roman “RAMZES666” Kushnarev and Yaroslav “Miposhka” Naidenov refused to play alongside Roman “Scandal” Sadotenkov in Team Empire after his now-famous phrase about “scoring goals.”

The Team Spirit manager shared the story during a Twitch stream.

“Scandal gathered everyone at practice and started complaining about heroes — saying things like, ‘Why am I always playing trash heroes like mid Nyx, Dark Seer, or DK?’ He wanted to play Alchemist and Invoker. Then, in a burst of emotion, he said: ‘Do you even understand? I want to score goals! I want to be like Miracle. I want to score goals. I want to play Invoker, I want to play Shadow Fiend’

That phrase — ‘score goals’ — stuck with us. It’s been nine years, and we still laugh about it whenever we meet a similar type of player. We always joke, like: ‘Yeah, this guy just wants to score goals.’ It’s become a classic”

Korb3n noted that the story still makes him laugh years later. He explained that after that meeting, RAMZES666 refused to play with Scandal anymore, and the rest of the team agreed — even though Scandal was the captain at the time. Eventually, the team decided to remove him from the roster.

“Back at the Manila Major, Ramzes said he would never play with Scandal again under any circumstances. I agreed with him — as did the rest of the team. So we removed him. Since then, it became kind of a running joke with Yarik — whenever we discuss players, we sometimes say, ‘Yeah, this guy just wants to score goals’”

The manager added that the story has become a meme within their circle, and he and Miposhka still bring it up when discussing players.
