Korb3n Comments on Team Falcons' Departure from the CS2 Pro Scene

Dmitry “Korb3n” Belov considers Team Falcons’ departure from professional Dota 2 a negative development for the esports discipline, but he finds it difficult to assess how this will affect the pro scene at this point.

The Team Spirit manager’s statement was published by Offstage.

“It’s no big deal for Dota. These things happen. Overall, it’s bad. But what can you do? There are understandable reasons why they left. If there were a bigger free-agent market, for example—or even better, if there were a semi-ready roster—they would have stayed.

Of course, there’s nothing good about it—let’s be honest. As for just how bad it is—at the moment, I probably don’t have that information. It’s really hard for me to truly grasp just how bad this actually is.”

According to Dmitry “Korb3n” Belov, the very fact that a major esports organization has left the pro scene is normal, since this happens regularly. Nevertheless, the Team Spirit manager believes that if there were more high-level free agents in the esports discipline or if the team had already partially assembled a new roster, Team Falcons would not have made this decision.
