Rostislav "Rostislav_999" Portasenya decided to discuss the allegations of provoking Valve's ban wave with Dmitry "Korb3n" Belov, to which the
Team Spirit manager responded with mockery and offered useful advice to the streamer.
The incident occurred during Korb3n's live broadcast on Twitch.
"[Dmitry, hello] Hey, Rostoslav. Read some esports news and came here to say it's not because of you? Let's be honest, it's clearly because of you. It's always been the same at Valve, they banned quietly.
[No, I just don't really understand on which account to play when all my accounts got banned?] On which account? No, bro, I don't know. I told you there that I don't care on which account you play. I really don't care, play on any you want. Just like I don't care about pro players' smurfs. Whether they ban them or not, I'm not a pro player, so I don't care.
But you know, there are no direct contacts with Valve. I'm telling you, write an email to Gabe, outline your situation, maybe he'll respond, he usually does. Maybe they'll solve your issue. I know ESL changed the rules because of smurf bans. It's quite amusing."
Dmitry also added that Rostislav_999 could have indeed contacted the developers, but in that case, the response allowing him to stream from a new account was merely a formal reply.
In one of his previous streams, Korb3n stated that it was Rostislav_999 who was responsible for the wave of smurf account bans for pro players in Dota 2 by Valve. The
Team Spirit manager believes that the streamer regularly showcased new accounts on streams immediately after the previous bans, provoking the developers.
Recall that earlier, Alexander "TORONTOTOKYO" Hertek faced a series of setbacks after switching to his main account.
