In patch 7.41, new details about the Dark Carnival event were found in Dota 2

After the release of patch 7.41 for Dota 2, hints about the next event were discovered in the game files. According to dataminers, the event might be called Dark Carnival.

This information was shared by the Telegram channel Dota Stepana.

Judging by the found code, Ringmaster will play an important role in the event: some dialogue lines were already added for him, which suggests his involvement in the story,

In addition, mentions of one of the future activities were found in the files — a mini-game with the codename Item Battler. It is expected to combine elements of autochess and roguelike, offering players a unusual gameplay format.

It is quite possible that the event could become something similar to Crownfall, which took place in 2025 and lasted almost a year in Dota 2.
