Ilya “Illidan” Pivtsaev,
Team Spirit streamer, admitted that he is not going to return to the professional Dota 2 scene, as he does not believe in his ability to win The International and does not want to let the team down.
He revealed this during a broadcast on Twitch:
“If I don't believe I can win TI, I won't go to any team. *** do I need that? And since I certainly don't believe I can win it as a player - *** don't I give my best and ruin it for someone?”
Illidan noted that he doesn't see the point of returning to the professional game because he doesn't believe he can succeed at the Dota 2 World Championship. He emphasized that he doesn't want to spoil the atmosphere in the team and let down his teammates, adding that he has no need to become a pro player again.
Earlier, the streamer also claimed that he earned twice as much as
Team Spirit players at one of the tournaments.
