Rasmus “HooXi” Nielsen stated that he was unable to reach an agreement on the terms of his contract extension with Astralis, which is why he left the esports organization’s Counter-Strike 2 roster.
The player made this announcement on X.
“I am no longer part of Astralis’ starting roster because we couldn’t agree on the terms of a contract extension. It hurts not to play at the Major when I’ve worked so hard to qualify for it. My contract runs until the end of the year, but I can leave earlier as a free agent.”
According to a statement by Rasmus “HooXi” Nielsen, the esports player is disappointed that he won’t be able to compete in the upcoming Major, for which he put in a great deal of effort to prepare. The player noted that his contract will remain in effect until the end of the year, but the esports organization is willing to release him earlier as a free agent.
As a reminder, Filip “Neo” Kubski previously joined Astralis as the CS2 team’s coach.
