Ivan “Pure” Moskalenko acknowledged that the 1win Dota 2 roster is currently showing an extremely low level of preparation, despite a successful start to the season.
The player made this statement on Twitch.
“It’s always hard to lose. Especially when you haven’t won a single series. I don’t know what to say. It’s just tough. Everyone feels the same way in a situation like this.
I don’t know—we’ll see what happens next. This was the last LAN tournament of the year. We’ll play a couple of online tournaments. Of course, we’ll try to win them. Maybe we’ll have a boot camp before some of them. The year as a whole was good, but the ending is disappointing. Just as we got to know each other better and started improving our game, for some reason things got worse. It’s all kind of complicated, but of course we’re upset, especially about certain tournaments like TI.
Maybe we’re just bots. Who knows? But we’ve won a couple of tournaments. Guys, we’re working on it. Maybe it hasn’t been obvious in our recent tournaments, but we’re really trying to win. We’re trying to win, but right now it’s just not our time. I don’t know why, I don’t know what we’re doing wrong. But we’re working on it. Keep cheering for us. I’m trying, seriously.”
According to a statement by Ivan “Pure” Moskalenko, the team is aware of the issues with its preparation and is trying to resolve the situation, but all attempts to improve their results are only making 1win’s situation worse. The esports player added that the team will try to perform better in upcoming tournaments and will hold a boot camp beforehand to ensure high-quality preparation.
As a reminder, Edgar “9Class” Naltakyan previously identified the reason behind 1win’s losses in Dota 2.
