Gaimin Gladiators captain names the real reason for the roster's defeats

Melchior “Seleri” Hillenkamp said that Gaimin Gladiators are losing not because of Alimzhan “Watson” Islambekov, as the new carry plays better than the rest of the roster, just the other members have not yet had time to adapt to the style of the new teammate.

The corresponding comment was made by the captain of Gaimin Gladiators in an interview on Twitch.

“It's taking time. But honestly, our results wouldn't be much different if we didn't change anything. We're not losing because of watson. I think he's on average playing better than everyone else on the team. It just takes everyone else a while to warm up.”

The pro player also revealed that the Gaimin Gladiators players lost their form due to the break after The International 2024, and now the team needs more time to regain their fitness level as there is a new player in the lineup.

“We played for a long time and after TI we took a break. Now we need time to get back into form. I am trying to figure out what I should play on. Today I found out that I should play on Pugna. It all takes time. Yes, we have a new player, but the rest of the team is underperforming. So we need a little more time.”

Gaimin Gladiatorss failed to make it any further than the first group stage at DreamLeague Season 24, leaving the tournament with two wins, two losses, and three draws.

Earlier, Eric “Tofu” Engel also commented on the problems with Gaimin Gladiators' play due to Alimzhan “Watson” Islambekov.
