Melchior “Seleri” Hillenkamp regrets
Gaimin Gladiators' withdrawal from The International 2025 tournament and hopes that nothing serious has happened to the players or the organization itself.
The former
Gaimin Gladiators captain made this statement on YouTube.
“I just hope that nothing too serious is happening at Gladiators — both within the organization and with the players. But it's a shame that it turned out this way.”
Melchior “Seleri” Hillenkamp also noted his involvement with
Gaimin Gladiators and urged fans not to jump to conclusions until the situation becomes clearer. Moreover, the player wished his former teammates a good time and not to give in to negative emotions from the situation if they still manage to get to The International.
"I've been with Gladiators since the beginning. There are a lot of wonderful people working at the club. I think it's best to just calm down. Of course, everyone can speculate, but I'm sure that sooner or later we'll find out what happened.
In any case, if you go to TI, I'm sure you'll have a great time. It's a great tournament, so don't let this ruin your mood. Have a good time, play some pubs. See you later."
In an official statement,
Gaimin Gladiators accused the Dota 2 players of refusing to compete at The International 2025 on behalf of the organization, which led to the decision to withdraw from the tournament.
Recall that Quinn “Quinn” Callahan expressed the players' version of events, stating that the responsibility for the decision to withdraw from The International lies with the management of
Gaimin Gladiators.
