Quinn Callahan stated that the Dota 2 team members had confirmed in writing their readiness to play at The International 2025 under the
Gaimin Gladiators tag, but the organization insisted on withdrawing the team from the tournament.
The player made this statement on X.
"In light of the recent statement from
Gaimin Gladiators about the withdrawal from The International 2025 in Hamburg, we believe it necessary to provide some clarification.
We explicitly communicated, in writing, that we were ready, willing and able to compete in The International under the
Gaimin Gladiators banner.
Gaimin Gladiators, however, refused to allow us to do so."
According to Quinn Callahan, there were indeed unresolved disagreements between the Dota 2 team members and the esports organization, which forced the players to seek legal assistance. Nevertheless, the decision to withdraw the team from The International 2025 was made by
Gaimin Gladiators management without consulting the team.
“There are some outstanding issues between us and
Gaimin Gladiators that necessitated that we retain legal counsel. That being said, the decision to withdraw from The International was made unilaterally by
Gaimin Gladiators.”
Earlier, Vladimir “Maelstorm” Kuzminov said what awaits the
Gaimin Gladiators players and the organization itself after refusing to participate in The International 2025.
