Artem “fng” Barshak has stated that he is not ready to make a statement about his final departure from competitive Dota 2, as he does not rule out that he may have a desire to return to professional cybersport. Nevertheless, in the near future the player plans to start streaming after returning from vacation, as he has now rejected all offers.
The corresponding statement was made by the player in an interview with Cybersport.
“There is no career in fact. After VP I have already, in fact, ceased to be a player. I didn't make these announcements, 'I'm done with my career,' so it wouldn't look weird if in six months I'm like, 'Man, I want to play something' - and I'm going to play again. But the career is either on pause or it's over. I turned down most of the offers I had during the reshuffle, and now... Well, basically, I'm not even a streamer yet. I used to stream a little bit before, then I went on vacation with my wife, and now I'm here. And once I get back, I'll probably just be sitting around streaming.”
The player also said that he discussed the prospect of ending his career with Alexei “Solo” Berezin, in the process realizing that he has a desire to end his career as a winner, but he admits that he has to meet a certain level to do so.
“But to say I won't play, I don't want to, because . it could be that I want to play competitively again. Recently with Solo, too, we've been discussing this. The desire to quit or just finish as a winner is there, or even just the desire to compete. But at the same time I am well aware of the fact that for this I need to meet some level.”
Speaking about the reasons for rejecting all offers from teams this season, Artem “fng” Barshak said that in the Eastern European region now it will be almost impossible to compete with
BetBoom Team,
Team Spirit and
PARIVISION.
Earlier Artem “fng” Barshak named the main reason for the failures of the last
Virtus.pro roster.
