According to Artem "Fng" Barshak, Valve wants to add sprays and stickers as team bundles in Dota 2 for The International 2024, just like in CS2.
Former
Virtus.pro captain revealed this on a stream on Twitch.
“I don't know if people will buy stickers for Dota. However, there is a huge difference of how these stickers can be used between CS and Dota. In CS you could have ‘NAVI.something’ sticker that you would stick on your Kalash or AWP something… well, I mean...I do not quite remember the dota stickers look but that should paint the picture. I really liked it when they added individual players’ custom stickers that go onto guns. That's ultra top”
It is said that Valve may decide to concentrate more on stickers so as to make them popular as in their shooter, but Fng has his doubts regarding whether players will like them. This is because they are not displayed during matches, unlike in CS2. Nevertheless he liked the idea of bringing back sprays.
“Custom sprays? Yeah maybe. Custom sprays were existing before then. They existed alongside team bundles also during DPC era”
Fng pointed out that dota 2’s spray feature is already existent since the days of DPC (Dota Pro Circuit), probably these might come back as part of team bundles at The International 2024
Earlier, gamers had been requesting Valve to update Dota 2 with new features than its current state of being old-fashioned.
