Fng Names the Best Carry in the Dota 2 Pro Scene—and It’s Not Yatoro

Commenting on Team Yandex’s level of preparation, Artem “Fng” Barshak named Alimzhan “Watson” Islambekov the best carry in professional Dota 2.

The former esports player shared his opinion on his personal Telegram channel.

“Watson is truly the top carry. A carry who gets involved, seizes every moment, and comes up with creative plays.”

Acording to Artem “Fng” Barshak, Watson strives to use every moment of matches to his team’s advantage and devises unique gameplay solutions.

Fng also assesed Team Yandex’s current form, stating that the team hasn’t made progres but has simply returned to its usual level of preparation following their failure at PGL Wallachia 8. The esports player believes that after the roster changes, the team has recovered and was once again able to demonstrate its best preparation at the BLAST Slam 7 tournament.

“I think this is more like their usual level. A ‘surge’ would be if they had been playing poorly and then started winning. There was a roster change.

They were unlucky at PGL Wallachia 8, after all. They had a slump, they were eliminated with three losses in the group stage, which I think really hit them hard. At BLAST Slam 7, they’re showing their true level; we’ve seen Team Yandex play like this more than once.”
