Artem “Fng” Barshak will participate in Riyadh Masters 2025 as the coach of the
Virtus.pro Dota 2 team.
The announcement was made on Telegram.
“Artem ”fng" Barshak is the new coach of the Dota 2 team.
Before starting preparations for the EWC,
Virtus.pro management discussed with fng the possible formats for his participation in working with the roster. Together, we came to the conclusion that Artem's experience, strategic thinking, and leadership qualities, which he will be able to share with the players from the position of coach, will be an important factor for the team in Riyadh."
At the same time, Georgy “drAmer” Faleev, head of Dota 2 at
Virtus.pro, noted that all attention is now focused on preparing for the Riyadh Masters 2025 tournament, and the prospect of further cooperation between the organization and Artem “Fng” Barshak as a coach will be determined by the team's results at the tournament.
“He has been actively working with the team for several weeks in preparation for the EWC. Right now, the focus is on the tournament in Riyadh, and the decision on his future role as coach will be made jointly with the players and management after the championship is over.”
As a reminder, Pavel “9pasha” Khvastunov previously predicted the disbandment of
Virtus.pro after the Riyadh Masters 2025 due to the unsatisfactory results of the current lineup.
