Ben "Noxville" Steenhuisen, a Dota 2 analyst, believes that through statistical analysis, it's possible to make preliminary predictions about the teams that might receive invitations to The International 2024.

He shared his TI13 predictions on his Twitter page.

For his calculations, he utilized the Glicko-2 system to analyze teams' performance and achievements in the current Dota 2 season. According to his assessment, approximately 8 teams will receive direct invitations to the world championship, while the remaining slots will be contested through regional qualifiers.

Notably, the winners of The International 2023 find themselves in the sixth position, making their situation somewhat precarious. Additionally, Noxville emphasized that Valve has likely abandoned the practice of inviting the previous year's champions to The International, a trend that shifted between TI6-8. This implies that Team Spirit is unlikely to secure a guaranteed slot at the world championship due to their victory at TI12.

Recall that Valve has altered the rules for organizing The International 2024, with the tournament now featuring 16 teams instead of the previous 20. Moreover, the criteria for qualification have changed following the cancellation of the DPC in this Dota 2 season.
