The fastest way to gain MMR revealed

Bogdan "Iceberg" Vasilenko, a star gamer on the esports stage, recently unveiled a simple way that players can easily manipulate the MMR system in Dota 2 to boost their rating in just a few hours.

Iceberg revealed this during one of his streams on Twitch.

“You know how MMR is being cheated? I can tell. You take some region where nobody plays. Then they assemble ten people together on Discord and all queue for Dota 2 to land in the same game. They click ‘Double Rating’ for themselves. Those who lose get -25, those who win get +50. Then they do it the other way round too. It’s like fork actually – 25 points per two games played by each of them that’s Dota 2”

According to him, players have discovered how to increase their MMR without any consequences at all; even if they lose from one another alternatively, yet still remain positive and can significantly grow their rating within just several matches. With such an approach, they can earn about 50-200 or even more points per hour without much effort.

Valve may take notice after what Iceberg said, and possibly fix this problem with MMR abuse but until now everything stays as it was.
