ESL unexpectedly reached out to Team Spirit following their refusal to play in the tournament

As part of a welcome letter for Team Spirit addressing them for ESL One Raleigh 2025, ESL provided some context on their issues with Team Spirit not attending DreamLeague Season 26.

The organization posted a screenshot from the message on their official telegram channel.

“Sorry, Team Spirit, it seems like we’re not getting along lately. We thought there was a spark between us. We’ve been through so much together. And now you’re skipping DreamLeague?”

Is it because of what happened in the Grand Final? But you still won in the end! Long pauses seem to be your thing.

We get it now. You got so traumatized by all the invite spam that you’re still hesitant to accept another DreamLeague invite. Makes sense.

No hard feelings. Let’s forget about DreamLeague. You gave us some of the most hyped matches in Bangkok, and we can’t wait to see the Spirit magic in Raleigh”

ESL One Raleigh 2025 organizers lightly commented that the pause in the action during the final of DreamLeague Season 25 might have a connection to the decision. Team Spirit was a victim of a hack in the finals of the match that was supposed to be played over a few days and then postponed.
