William “draken” Sundin has anounced that he is suspending his professional Counter-Strike 2 career indefinitely.
The player announced this on X.
"We were close to breaking through with Johnny Speeds many times, and it was a long and difficult journey. Johnny Speeds is something incredibly personal to me; in many ways, it feels like my brainchild. I put my heart and soul into creating it from scratch.
Today, I am the only player remaining from the original five. Over the years, we have had changes in the lineup and coaching staff, and we have always strived to become better and take the next step.
However, I have recently realized that I need to take a step back from the competitive scene. Giving my all for so long is exhausting, and I need time to recover and regain my energy. This is not the end of my career—I just need time to come back stronger.
I will continue to be involved with Johnny Speeds and suport what we have built together. The Johnny Speeds team and organization are very dear to me, and that will never change."
Acording to William “draken” Sundin's statement, the esports player is tired of the competitive scene and wants to recharge his bateries. However, the player noted that the Johnny Speeds esports organization has become a very important part of his life, so he will continue to participate in the development of the organization while taking a break from the pro scene.
Earlier, Anatoly “little” Yashin said that Maxim “Kyousuke” Lukin may end his career in the coming years and take up streaming.
