Dota 2 became one of the most popular and profitable games of 2025: Steam ranking

Dota 2 made it into the Platinum tier of the Steam ranking, entering the top 12 most profitable and popular titles of 2025.

This is indicated by Valve’s ranking published on the Steam platform.

Dota 2 reached Platinum status in two categories at once: Top Sellers and Most Played. Valve did not specify exact positions and placed the titles in random order. Notably, another Valve game CS2 also made the list.

It is worth noting that many were surprised by these results, as Dota 2 is already more than 12 years old, and such popularity numbers highlight the game’s demand and uniqueness. In addition, the game is experiencing a surge in player activity, reaching the level of 2016–2019, when Dota 2 was at the peak of its popularity.
