Valve has finally officially announced Deadlock, opening the game's page on Steam and allowing testers to share details about the project.
The game now has an official Steam page, where a trailer has been published, and an official fan community has also been launched.
It is reported that the game is a team-based MOBA-shooter and is currently in the early stages of development and testing. The developers note that there are still many images in the project that may be replaced, and work on localization, as well as the appearance and mechanics of the game, is not yet complete.
Valve also announced on social media that the information embargo on Deadlock has been lifted, and testers can now freely share new details about the project. However, Valve has not yet provided even an approximate date for the completion of alpha testing. Nevertheless, to join the game now, all you need is an invitation from a friend with a copy of the game, which anyone can do even without friends on Steam, as we detailed in our article.

Despite being announced just a few hours ago, the game's online player count has already exceeded 44,000, which is more than the 2024 hit Helldivers at this point. Additionally, the game's announcement has led to a surge in popularity for Deadlock on Twitch, where many streams of the project have now appeared.
As a reminder, everything known about Deadlock by Valve is compiled in our main article dedicated to the game from the developers of Dota 2.
