Deadlock has created a real stir in the gaming world. The new project from Valve, a hybrid of shooter and MOBA, has attracted many popular streamers, content creators, and professional players who spend hours immersing themselves in the game. Now, with the introduction of the ranked system in Deadlock, expectations have increased even further.
All Deadlock Ranks
The game features 11 different ranks, but there are actually 12. Every player starts with a provisional rank known as Obscurus. If you fail to meet the minimum game requirements, you will be sent back to this rank.

Once you fulfill the requirements, at the end of the week, you will be assigned a rank and rewarded with a medal. Each rank is divided into subranks: I, II, III, IV, V, and VI. The ranks are categorized as follows:
Deadlock Ranks:
Initiate
Seeker
Alchemist
Arcanist
Ritualist
Emissary
Archon
Oracle
Phantom
Ascendant
Eternus
The designs for the ranked medals will be revealed after the first week of ranked play in Deadlock, which begins on October 22. At that point, players will be able to see exactly where they stand and begin their journey to the top rank in the game—Eternus.
What is the most common rank in Deadlock?
Although the ranking system was only recently introduced in Deadlock, many players have already managed to reach a fairly high level. Interestingly, it’s not Initiator, the starting rank for all newcomers, that is the most common medal in the game. Most players have managed to reach the Archon rank and have held their ground there.

More than 4,000 players are currently at the Archon rank, making it the most common. Notably, most users have reached the 6th rank within this medal, which requires playing several hundred matches in Deadlock.
How Does the Ranked System Work in Deadlock?
The ranked system in Deadlock was introduced with clear instructions on how to access it. To unlock the ranked mode, players must play at least 50 regular games. After that, they need to choose a time frame for playing ranked matches available in the game. This allows players to start their journey to the top.

Deadlock matches players with opponents of similar skill, and each week, you must play a minimum of seven ranked matches to qualify for a rank. Currently, there are no special rules for the ranked mode. Simply queue for a match, and at the end of the week, you will receive a rank or be sent back to the provisional rank if you didn’t meet the minimum match requirement.
It’s important to note that this is just a testing phase for the ranked system, and it may undergo changes during the development of Deadlock. However, for now, the PTC system in Valve's new game closely resembles the MMR rating in Dota 2.
