Dataminer names the start date of a new Dota 2 evenA new Dota 2 event dedicated to the Chinese New Year may start as early as February 17 and run until March 3.

This was reported by dataminer DOTA_DM on his Telegram channel.

“A new event with walking Thrones dedicated to the Chinese New Year is coming. It will last from February 17 to March 3 this year”

According to him the new event will start in about a week and will last until spring. The dataminer also claims that the event will be tied to the celebration of the Chinese New Year and players will be able to try out a new game mode.

It is worth recalling that players have already been able to test the revival of Thrones, which turn into massive guardians and march down the mid lane to fight. According to the dataminer this feature will become one of the main highlights of the upcoming Dota 2 event.

However Valve have not made any official announcements regarding the upcoming event yet, and have also not revealed any details about the new mode.
