CS2 training is a mandatory condition for improving your gaming skills. However, starting a new round every few minutes can be inconvenient, wasting precious time.
Therefore, there is a way to make time in CS2 almost endless, increasing it to an hour of real-time. This will help you practice necessary tactics, weapon handling skills, and thoroughly explore the map. This will be useful not only for beginners but also for players transitioning from CS:GO.
How to make an infinite round in CS2
It is important to understand that it is not possible to violate match rules, so this method only works on a player's private server. Although developers have not provided for increasing game time in CS2 beyond 60 minutes, this time should be more than enough to practice all the necessary skills. To do this, you will need to take a few simple steps.
Activate the developer console in CS2
By default, this feature is disabled, so you will need to go to the settings. There is an option to "Enable developer console (~)". Simply choose "Yes" from the drop-down menu. Now you can call the console at any time by pressing the "~" key.

Enter commands to extend the round time
mp_roundtime_defuse 60 – a command that will increase the round time for bomb defusal maps.
mp_roundtime_hostage 60 – a command intended for activation on hostage maps.
mp_roundtime 60 – a general command that helps set the overall time in other modes to extend the round time to 60 minutes.
mp_restartgame 1 – it is essential not to forget to activate this command, which performs a general map restart for the changes to take effect.
An alternative way to enable an infinite round in CS2
In any case, the game ends when one of the teams defuses the bomb or rescues the hostages, but this limitation can also be bypassed. To do this, you will need to enter another command into the console:
mp_ignore_round_win_conditions 1 – this command allows the system to ignore victory conditions on the map, and the match will last indefinitely until the player decides to exit.
Thus, you can create conditions for endless training, dedicating time to studying grenades, layouts, and tactics on the map. It is essential to remember that these settings are intended for training and creating comfortable conditions, and using them in official matches may lead to rule violations and a ban from Valve.
