Magomed “Collapse” Khalilov,
Team Spirit offlaner, said that at the Riyadh Masters 2025 the team faced a huge number of problems that caused dissatisfaction among players - in particular, due to the heat, low internet quality and high ping.
The two-time Dota 2 World Champion spoke about this in a new video on
Team Spirit YouTube channel.
"I was asked about the five-day break at the tournament. I said it's weird to see events with a Single Elimination grid. You don't have a lower grid. I don't remember that ever happening.
I was also asked about team problems at the tournament. I said, “Yeah. Ping, fucking heat, internet”
They asked about team problems. I replied, "There are none. Just internet connection, heat and ping." That's factual, I didn't lie."
Collapse emphasized that he finds the Single Elimination format at the Dota 2 tournament strange, as he doesn't recall it being used at major championships. In addition, he expressed his dissatisfaction with the extreme heat, poor internet and high ping, which prevented normal play.
Collapse noted that there are no problems within the team, but the conditions at the Riyadh Masters 2025 left a negative impression on him.
Earlier, the captain of
Team Spirit announced that he will go inactive and explained when exactly it will happen.
