Leonid “Chopper” Vishnyakov stated that FACEIT ratings do not determine a player's professionalism in the Counter-Strike 2 pro scene.
The player shared this opinion on Twitch.
"I can say that for a good Tier 2 player, your CS ELO doesn't matter. I don't know about Dota 2, but in CS, it's always the team that decides. If you have experience, if you've played a lot of rounds, if you play a lot of defaults, then the team is always stronger.
FACEIT is not an indicator at all, it's the beginning of the journey. You have to build up your ELO and join a team. That's how it works. Because in a team, you'll then play defaults, responses on every map. Otherwise, you're cool on FACEIT, beating all the timings, but usually in CS, FACEIT is not a strong indicator for pro players."
According to Leonid “Chopper” Vishnyakov, experience and playing in a variety of situations are much more important when it comes to evaluating pro players. The esports player noted that FACEIT can only be considered the beginning of the journey to finding your first team.
Earlier, Leonid “Chopper” Vishnyakov named the main favorites for the upcoming ESL Pro League 23 CS2 tournament.
